3rd Generation speaker suggestions

hey everyone, i have plans to upgrade my audio system and id like to know what you guys would recommend in terms of brands.

i am currently considering getting Pioneer 2-way 6.5" and 3-way 6X9 speakers, but id like to know if anyone has had any experience with less-expensive brands like BOSS.

I found a pair of BOSS 3-way 6.5 speakers and BOSS 3-way 6X9 speakers on the RadioShack website for $17.99 and $24.99, respectively, but I am unsure of its performance.

also, i have heard that Sony speakers aren't as good when compared to other brands that you can get for relatively the same price. on the walmart site, you can get a HU and 4-speaker combo for $90, and I am seriously considering this very cost-efficient bundle. can anybody vouch for Sony?

i will also be using a 4 channel amp for my speakers, so suggestions for that would be greatly appreciated too. thanks guys.

4th Generation

I am beyond happy with my set up. More than BOSS stuff from Radio Shack but reasonable.

i wouldnt buy anything from stores its a ripoff for crappy stuff.

go with an alpine or pioneer headunit
speakers depend on your budget but it seems like u dont want to spend too much so i would say get some phoneix gold rsd 6.5cs on ebay for 100. Then just find a nice amp that sends them 150wrms each and you should be good.
dont bother on 6x9 just run them off your hu if u wanna keep them. then just save towards a sub
