Slow Filling Gas Tank

2001 Camry with 98000 mi. Just replaced the vsv and charcoal cannister. Now I have a new check engine light and problems filling tank with fuel. Any ideas where to start?

There is a large vent line going between the tank and canister, make sure it is not plugged.

Suggest getting the code(s) read, this will allow fine tunning the search area.

In the 1995 models there is a small vent pipe that runs along the outside of the fuel inlet pipe and vents just inside the fuel cap to allow quicker filling. This may have become pinched or clogged if your year model has one. That would slow the filling process.

I can't see where that would throw a CEL code. Call around and find a local auto parts store or mechanic that will pull the code for free. Get the actual code as well as the explanation and repost it here.
