How to replace headlight bulb on 97 LE.

Hi, I just bought some new headlight bulbs and was trying to put them in over the weekend. I am clueless about this. Can someone walk me through this or if there is a website with pictures that will show me step by step instruction. Please Help.
Thanks

Hey, and welcome to ToyotaNation
It's a pretty simple procedure really. Pictures and diagrams I believe can be had in the owner's manual, if you have.

Simply pop the hood and look behind the headlight housing. Determine which bulbs you are trying to replace (The high beam or low beam)

You will see a square like structure with a wire coming out of two points in the headlight housing - one for your high and one for your lowbeams

Simply twist the bulb outward in a clockwise or counterclockwise motion and then pull the entire lamp out of the housing.

Replace the bulb (being sure to wear gloves or using a cloth to avoid fingerprinting the bulb) and reinsert the entire thing into the housing. Twist in the other way to get it shut

^ The 97 to 99 Camry's have 9003 (H4) bulbs which are different from 00-01.

For the OP, there is one bulb that is the high and low beams.

There will be be a rubber cap, take it out, there will be metal clips holding the bulb. unhook them and take out the bulb. installation is the reverse.

it's very easy so give it a try. also make sure you don't touch the bulbs with your hands.

Your owner's manual has the procedure with some diagrams that are easy to understand.

Also, pay attention to what sbushnak said about not touching the glass portion of the bulb. If you accidently touch the glass, wipe it off with some alcohol before installing it. If you don't, you will be replacing that same bulb again in a few months.
