Can I bypass my rusty load sensing proportioning valve?

The rear brake load sensing proportioning valve on my 94 camry wagon is leaking due to rust. A replacement is $300 and most used ones are also rusty. Can I just cut out this fancy looking part and run the Master Cylinder brake line directly to each side of the rear? I do not see any sensors, so I doubt I will throw any codes.

thoughts?

No, no NO do NOT bypass this Load Sensing Proportioning Valve! Bite the bullet and get one new one. According to the Toyota shop manual, it helps control cornering when braking around curves.

The valve varies the amount of braking sent to the rear wheels.

Have you tried an aftermarket part supplier? I am not sure about the price, but my brake supplier has these things for sale, I just have not needed them yet.
