Lowering a 92 Camry LE

I currently work at an accessory department and I have a customer looking to lower his 1992 Toyota Camry LE 4cyl. What are the popular brands (Eibach?) and where is the best place to find these products?

You can get both H&R brand and Eibach brand lowering springs at tirerack.com

Eibachs lower about an inch all around. H&R has 2 different versions. H&R OE Sports lower about an inch. H&R Sports lower 1.25 in the rear and 1.3 in the front.

You may find them cheaper elsewhere, but Tire Rack is competetive in price, and customer service is excellent.

There are other springs that will lower you more, but H&R and Eibach are generally considered to be the highest quality springs.

If you're going to lower it, you'll want to go with performance struts as well. Stock struts reportedly don't hold up well when combined with lowering springs. The most common struts used by members is Tokico HP and KYB GR-2. The Tokicos can be found on ebay. The KYBs can be had from Tire Rack.

Since it's a '92 do some searching on here about serviceable vs. non-serviceable struts. I can't recite the details but there is an issue with some of the Gen3 Camrys having serviceable struts. Maybe someone that knows the details will chime in.

Wow, way to threadjack there bud. Look in the Gen 3/4 FAQ and do a SEARCH. If you have questions about a specific setup that is not discussed there, you can post a new thread ok?

Search is your friend. There are many many posts regarding suspension mods.

Can't tell you anything about Megan Racing springs for the Camry. Tein is good quality and there are several posts about their application in Solaras and Gen3/3.5/4/4.5 Camrys. Sprint, Dropzone, and Intrax are generally considered lower quality and problems have been reported with them sagging unevenly (i.e. sag more in the back than the front, etc.) over time.

Again. Do some searching. You'll find a wealth of info on this subject.
