Pattern that increase air speed

So I was thinking of a vortex type pattern/notches on the inside of the intake tube can help speed up air movement speed through corners and elbow, might help with fuel mixture too. What do you guys think, can we make a DIY custom on this?

and what might the point be. seeing as the intake manifold can only accept so much air you really aren't helping anything.

I can't imagine it will help that much.

If it's one of those "tornado" gadgets that are sold on eBay, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be effective.

it will help the flow through the intake tube but like ecale said, the intake manifold can allow so much air to flow through..

Adding air won't necessarily help anything. Just because the extra air is there that doesn't mean the engine will use it. Obviously if you restrict air flow enough, then that will have an effect.

Seems like you might be confusing air pressure with air volume. Pressurizing the air by forced induction will undoubtedly help.

Come on people! Don't you know that making things spin makes them faster and defy gravity by creating its own? Making that vortex helps the air become denser because it's own generated gravity pulls all the air together. As everyone knows, this will increase the amount of air able to enter the combustion chamber and basically have a small forced induction effect because more air means more burn! The ECU will compensate because it can measure the amount of air entering the intake tract.
