Ok, I know that you need to contact RMM to get information about it. I also know there is a different lip for the gen 3, and the gen 3.5. I'm running a gen 3.5 but I hear that the lip spoiler for the 3.5 doesnt rly cause any downforce, but the gen 3 does. I was looking to have downforce on the front of the car, so does anyone know what the difference is? Is the mounting different? And finally can the 3.5 bumper cover be modified to attach the gen 3 spoiler lip?
Thanks guys!

the gen3 rmm wont mount on the 3.5 bumper without modification. are ya plannin on gettin just the lip or a whole kit? personally i dont see how ya need the down force yet and if you were goin with just a lip then the taurus lip mod is a great addon for VERY cheap.
youre not going to get noticeable downforce differences to make it worth buying the gen 3 ...
however, you can get either - but you will have to do like bigbird said and modify your front bumper with some cutouts and whatnot to make it fit properly

RMM lip is more for show then downforce unless you have the power to put it to use..

Actually the gen 3 RMM lip does create a fairly significant amount of downforce (Ask Eye8pussies). It may not be Ferrari F40 downforce, but it is something. It will take modification to fit a gen 3.5 bumper for sure, but even the RMM lip for the 3.5 requires cutting of the bumper cover. If you are going to have to modify it anyway, might as well have a positive side effect on performance.
Also bird, what do you mean by the whole kit? RMM doesn't make a kit Just the Lip and Spoiler.

i mocked the 3.5 lip to my gen 3 bumper when I got it, and IMO it will not fit. If you want to do a lip for the gen you dont have, youre going to swap bumpers as well.
I would say the 3.5 is the cleanest lip, but if youre turbo or supercharged rock the gen 3 lip- then you might actually go fast enough to use it and you have the power to back up the bragging about the downforce. thats my two cents.

it's not about power, it's about how fast you travel...power just gets you there faster is all.
I'd say from about 120-130kph+, it makes a noticeable difference. Enough that I never like taking my bumper off for winter, since I can feel the difference in those wide turns on the highway. Thus, the reason why I keep mine on during the winter now and it's all trashed up.
and it won't fit the gen3.5 bumper period. If you do hack up the gen3.5 bumper to make it fit, then it will lose it functionality, since it uses the two side ports on the bumper to mount the lip, and the lip pulls down on the bumper at those points. So, long story short, if you cut up the gen3.5 side ports (since that's where they really differ) to make the lip mount up, chances are at higher speeds, it can just rip the lip right off the bumper since all the downforce that it creates and all the wind that it catches now pulls the lip downwards from the bumper.

Ok, so the next question is if I do get a gen 3 bumper cover, will the 3.5 head lights and grill be a problem when fitting it? I have noticed that the 3.5 goes up to reach the grill, can I mod the cover to fit that better. I have just spent money of the new grill, bumper lights, and corner lights, and I don't want to replace them if I don't have to.

Also I pulll about 80 in highway so right now with the stock suspension in it it starts to lift of the ground, I can tell this be speeds near the 80's make steering much easier then speeds at 40 50 mph.
Also I think I may need a picture or two to show what I was talking about.

I'm pretty sure that the cover will mount on with no problem like the gen 3 tail lights and trunk center panel did. Just need to know about the gap and anything else I dont know about.

Yes you will have a gap. What a lot of people do, though is get a gen 3 bumper, grille, then get some aftermarket clear DEPO headlights, then you will not have the gap, it's up to you. I've actually got up for sale a gen 3 RMM lip and its still attached to a gen3 bumper cover. It's in the for sale section. The bottom has a crack in the fiberglass on one part, but it's at the bottom, not noticeable and actually if you know anything about patching fiberglass very easy to fix.
