This is probably a really dumb question but how everyone goes about installing a new muffler on their camry. Ultimately how do I remove the old one first? Thanks...
easier said then done. im bettin the bolts will shear off IF you can even get wrench around them. if that doesnt happen it doesnt really matter, theres no muffler cept i think maby the TRD that would bolt up anyways. youd likely have to have it welded on anyways.
If it's just the muffler you're putting on, then it shouldn't be too loud. I've gone through 3 mufflers (2 were Magnaflows, one was 3-chambered and the other was straight-through), and installed a cat-back system with a canister muffler and it still wasn't loud enough for me. A cop who thought otherwise pulled me over a ticketed me. Anywho, I think you should be fine since you're only installing a muffler.
the magnaflows do resonate on an otherwise stock exhaust, between 2000 and 2500 rpms. turns in to a drone and get VERY old but every where else it sounds weosome and subtle.
For apexi n1 owners the best thing is having the active tail silencer on it.
No droning, quiet when cruising then when full throttle it opens up and is like no silencer is ever on and the apexi n1 sounds the best when unleashed!!!
I love the exhaust but when it comes to cruising around with a date and have the windows down it gets annoying for the girl to have a nice conversation!!! Active tail silencer solved my little problem!!!
