That line is pretty corroded and obviously vibrates on the round shaped thing that in underneath it, and PS oil seeps out of it then ends up on the sway bar, then control arm, then driveway.
The rubber insulator that you can see going around it was misplaced I think, and it allowed contact with that round thing under it. I twisted it around the PS line so it doesn't directly touch anything. I'm assuming that's what the insulator does, cause that line seems to be going awfully close to the steering gear.
How much am I looking at to get that fixed? Have you ever done it yourself? How hard was it?

That line looks like it runs along the rack and is attached to the rack in 2 locations. It can be replaced. Find a good looking one in the junkyard and replace both o-rings on it before putting it on your car.

I'm pretty sure that the Prestone Stop Leak is only good for damaged or brittle seals (like o-rings and other rubber parts). Read the label if you consider using it on your problem.
If xtremeskier97's suggestion is feasible that would be a sure fix. Temporarily, it might be possible to put a rubber patch over the leak and secure it in place with a hose clamp. It's kind of tricky to get the clamp in the right place but once you cover the hole tightly it will reduce the leak quite a bit.

It has to be the rack...same as mine.....expensive repair. I am trying the Prestone sealer first...
It's not the rack, it's a fluid line that runs along it, but it's not the rack itself.

The dust boot cover on the steering racks, if they are filled with fluid...therefore the whole rack needs to be replaced? My mechanic pinched it with a needle and the fluid started to leak.....
Well I'm not gonna try to pinch my dust boot since my problem isn't there, but I don't know if the gears inside the boot have to be lubricated by bathing in fluid kinda like CV joints. I'll have to pass on that one and let it to a more knowledgeable person instead of speaking out of my ass.

Ramped the car back and checked it out further about ten minutes ago. Checked my boots just to be sure and no signs of leaking around the seals.
I'm pretty sure I'd be able to do it, space is tight, but I was able to get my hand on every crucial spot.
It's a section of about 3 feet of small metal hose that needs to be replaced. It's bolted in only one location with some kind of metal fastener that attaches it on another line running along it, and down in the cradle. It's clipped on another line at a couple places and plugged in a rubber hose on both ends so that should be okay.
It's just a matter of knowing how to deal with the fluid pissing out of every hole while I do it now. Bleed beforehand? How do you do that? What about air bubbles?
