i say get neither, performance or go home. but yeah between the 2 the sensatrac are slightly stiffer, i had tehm on my land barge El Camino and i could feel a slight differance. but still like a pillow.
yea i was thinking about performance but the only reason i dont want to do them is because when i replaced the front i replaced them with toyota oem struts so i dont want a totally different ride from the front to the rear

well i just ordered the gr-2 KYB struts, and backs are only like 67 $, and from what i read the performance is spectacular for the price...spend the xtra 15 $ for better control and comfort :P

and like 180 for rear...if i were your ide do it yourself, its not too hard if you look it up and have 4 to 6 hours...good luck

Alright, I'm waiting on that. I'm ordering my Eibach/Tokico setup and Toyota strut mounts in a month or so, or as soon as I get my tax return. I have a blown shock in the rear and I get all kinds of squealings and noises. Winter was hard this year.
Get to it

Well I just changed to KYB GR-2 on all four corners, and I'm actually disappointed. The ride is too stiff for me. The right rear was worn and had a clunking sound. Now the clunking sound is still there and there's a sort of "loose change" sound coming from the left front every time I hit a bump.
I'm thinking I should have dished out the $500 for Toyota rears and be done with it.

I have been reading a lot about people here at TN with suspension Q's or recommendations for strut replacement. I am sure most know this already but it is a good idea to check on your rear toe adjust arms for play at the bushings while you are crawling around under there. If the rear of your ride seems to float around a bit this is the culprit. A good way to check for this is to jack up the rear and grab the tire at 3 and 9 o'clock push in on one hand while pulling out on the other. Do this back and forth and note any play.
