exhaust problems and question, need input
ok so im havign a bit of trouble here with my exhaust. ill start with the problem.
my crappy, pieced together, heniz 57 exhaust is springing leaks. now i havnt found out exactly where this latest one is but it seems to be around the y-pipe near rear bank. so the weird part. it makes the most noise in reverse. in drive or nutral, at any rpm, i can barely hear anything but my muffler but in reverse its loud and almost has a spattery wistle to it. . ive never this kinda thing before so im courious whats up with it. any thoughts? ideas?
now for the question. the exhaust note as worn me out. this new y-pipe because of its un even legnths sounds like ass...and i have a HUGE resonator too. so im lookin to quiet it down without dropping teh diameter of the tubing below 2.5". i have an apexi WS now and i was lookin at getting a magnaflow but im not sure if it will quiet it down enough. im not lookin for OEM quiet, i know i cant nor do i want to acheive that. any ideas there?
