Removal of Front seats

Hi

I would like to remove the front seats of my Camry so I can give some maintance to each seat.

Are there any issues with unplug the connectors under the seat related to the front airbags?

Mine is 1997 LE V6 Camry

There should be no problem as long as you plug everything back in the right way. Ive done it before on multiple cars and there was no problem

I wish it was simple to scoot the damn things back a few more inches.

Just make sure to put a towel or some tape on the plastic trim that goes behind the seat belt on the B pillar and the next one going to the front of the car (I can't remember the name now) so when you remove the seat you don't scratch those trims and remove the headrest before taking it out, It'll come out easier..

You can remove the battery if you want, for extra safety measures. Usually when I'm messing with anything electrical , I just disconnect the battery to not blow a fuse. (It happened to me before).

I was worried about this too when I pulled the carpet back to disconnect the 02 sensor so I called a couple dealerships and they all told me it was not supposed to be a problem as long as the key wasn't in the ignition...
