Question Check Engine Light

MY 2000 Camery has 154,444 miles the check engine light won't go off. I've replaced 2 censors. The light went off for 1day then came back on. Any suggestions

Don't just start replacing things you think may be wrong. get it scanned and go with whatever the code tells you is wrong.

The check engine light can come on for hundreds of reasons. Just replacing parts could be futile. Go get your codes scanned and post them here. Remember, the code seldom condemns a particular part or sensor. It only tells you that a system has a problem. It could be a sensor, a wire, a cracked vacuum hose or a number of other things. Don't fall into the trap of replacing parts. Most items can be tested so do that before replacing them.

Thanks I'll get the codes. I heard you can get them autozone, correct?...I did replace the oxygen censors. I was told that's why the light keeps on coming back on. Now the light still is coming on after replacing both censors.

Don't be told anymore then

In the usa I believe autozone scans for free, get the codes and ask them what they mean, or even better report back here or search for them on the forums, you might end up realizing it's an easy fix.

Good point on clearing the codes when done, you can also disconnect your battery for about 15 minutes to reset your computer and have it run the scans again while you drive around.

Is the car driving fine? Do you have a V6 or 4 banger?
