Frankly?
It's not all that expensive to just get new ones, and the rubber
on new ones will be pristine condition, far better than original
gen 3 window trim rubber will be no matter what you do with it.
Disassembly procedure for all window trim:
Pull out the window gasket. Look in the channel and screw
heads are revealed. Remove and save those screws.
Inside the door in the upper corner there's what looks like a
black plastic nut. (On a black car it's black, I haven't noticed
on other cars but it's probably still black.) It IS a nut, remove
it with a suitable metric nut driver.
The rear view mirror has to come off. Remove the inside
cover (it snaps off) and remove the screws.
Screws are hidden under the rear view mirror's space on the
door. Remove those screws.
Save all screws, always. You'll always lose one so the parts
car you remove screws from is a godsend.
The upper window trim strip has two sections, one is the
mirror area and the rest of the strip goes up the window frame,
but this is one assembly that doesn't come apart. Don't even
try to remove them individually. The rubber gasket for
both metal trim pieces is permanently attached to both of them.
Don't try to remove the pillar cover yet. (The nut you pulled
off the upper corner of the door is the upper pillar cover
retainer nut.)
The door frame trim interlocks to the top of the pillar cover,
too, and if you don't remove it correctly you'll damage the trim.
The trim on the door itself has several yellow curved clips that
secure it to the inner door plate. They're not designed to be
easy to remove. But they can be defeated by inserting a
long thin flat-bladed screwdriver and attacking the clips
through the window channel. If you have a screwdriver for
each clip, that makes the job pretty easy.
When the time comes to reinstall the window sill trim (lower
edge), remember that the attaching clips are curved for
a reason. Proper reattachment of them requires you to
roll the trim piece into position rather than drop it straight in.
Look at how it goes together once you've got it apart and
you'll see what I mean.
If you break a clip, no big deal. Toyota has them and
no plastic clips are expensive.
