Power door locks gen 3.5

Is this normal:
when I unlock the driver side door with the key it only unlucks the driver side door only. If I use the key to unlock the passenger side door it unlocks all the doors. Is this some sort of anti car-jacking feature, or is my wiring messed up?

That's normal. However, you can open all the doors on the driver's side. You have to turn the key twice.

Turn it once, opens driver's door. Turn it once again, and all the door's open.

Holy Crap! I never knew that. In my defense i've always had an alarm on my car so i've never had to use a key. Just tried it and was amazed it worked.
