3rd Generation Hid

what is the metal shield on the HID for? when the metal shield is on the top, u can see everything but blinds people, when its on the bottom, u can only see like a cars length, whats better?

the sheild is just that...a sheild. you want it on the top so your not blinding people and then point your headlights up a bit to extend the legnth. since ya have a gen3 with stock headlights housings(depot or not) the spread pattern isnt gonna be that good no matter what ya do.

before the shield WAS on top and that was blinding the people, and also it wasn't a good fit, yes, i have them on the stock headlights. u cant really adjust it. And also, what did you mean by retro projectors?
