More Wheel Dreams...

trying to find a good set of wheels that i like & are affordable .... so far the wheel & tire combos ive found have been around $1000, which is reasonable ... but that doesnt leave me with a lot of options

i know everyone thats read my posts for the last year has been dying for me to get wheels ... but you'll just have to wait longer

unfortunately, some further expenses have come up and i cannot devote my first two paychecks of the summer to wheels like i had hoped ... but i am considering a 2nd job, and if not i hope to get wheels as soon as my funds are re-gathered

anyways, the point of this thread is to get opinions on the latest wheel that i have decided i like:

Tenzo Mach-10
17 x 7"
+ 42 Offset
~19 lbs

of course, my other two favorites are still the same:

+ Black Powder-Coated IS 300 Wheels
+ ASA AR 1's [Black w/ Machined Lip]

if anyone has any other suggestions of black 17" wheels that are cheap AND well-built (not just cheap!), please lemme know! ... i will be doing all i can to make some decisions in the upcoming months

the tenzo mach 10 is a nice rim. I also like the Tenzo M-Sport

My new rims on my S2000 are Tenzo DC-6 Type 1 Black w/ the red ring. They are very nice rims, very well built (they're not Volks, but then, they cost half as much too )

^ Why the hell would he need a 8.5" wide 17? Unless he's planning to run 265's or something going with 8/8.5 inch wide rims would just be adding unneccesary weight.

I ran the IS300 rims, they were 7" wide. I would get a 7.5in rim with a 235width tire... Though that might be unnecessary for a 4cyl.

265's wtf??? with 8/8.5" you can get away with 225 tires... to make it look better... besides it will still be lighter than the 18" version of the same rim.

just as a base comparison, I am running 225/40/18s on a 18x8.5 wheel on my solara and the setup weighs 1 lb less than my stock wheels and tires... the width isnt necessary, it just looks baller.

Lenny, look into enkei- they make great wheels that are pretty strong, decently light weight, and a legit name in the industry... I loved the ones I had.

I had 17x7.5 and could run 225's just fine. 8/8.5 is not necessary for that size tire. As for it looking better .

Damon your Gram Lights aren't in his price range so that's an unfair comparison

There is only one Enkei rim that i personally like, and i only like it on one car (RPF1's on an S2000) and those aren't cheap.

haha well hey, my grams with tires cost me $1300... just have to get lucky enough to find a good deal. I loved my enkei evo 5s, but I guess a few people are rocking them these days, so thats not usually ideal.
