I am trying to install the TWM short shifter. I got to the part where it says to pry off the plastic cap with a screw driver and pull the stock shifter out. Well the stock shifter wont come out. the cap only tilts back so far, and the shifter will NOT fit outta that space. TWM doesnt have any info or pics in the instructions on how it should come out. so anyone who has installed one of these, if you could help me out please.

Does the plastic cap come off? Can you remove the screws on the corners of the large plastic housing and remove it (plus the cap)?

I got that part figured out now, and i have it completely installed except that little washer cap thing that goes on the right side of that pin thing. i know thats not very clear, but there is just no room to put that thing on. it says to use a 14mm socket to punch it on, but it seems almost impossible.
