Headlights off center

I know there are threads talking about how to aim your headlights but my situation is a little different.

I recently was in a front end accident so many things on the driver side of the bumper do not look perfect. No one else would notice but me. I changed my lights to depo lens a few days ago and I drove last night and the lights are off center. Mainly the driver side one. Here are the pics below.

My question is.......why is there so much space on the left lens, the driver side one. You can see where I made an arrow indicating the problem compared to the passenger side.

Do I need to take the headlight out, and adjust this with the screw inside? Any insight or help is appreciated.

BTW, you may ask what the tan stuff is under the headlight. LOL. Well its some sort of mold trim I got from Lowe's. I needed to bring the headlight up. For whatever reason, that driver side does not sit the same as the passenger. I will look more into the details of this next week.

Thanks,

I think its just the way the headlights are so that when you're driving on a two lane road, the lights don't blind oncoming drivers.

You see where I circled it red? Right underneath that is a clip. Check that clip to see if it is installed correctly, if not find something discreet enough to boost it higher.

It does look like your bumper is somewhat warped or missing a clip somewhere!

I took everything off, I saw the clip. The grille was not pushed all the way down into it. The gap is not as wide now. It looks a lot better but I will know anything about the lights until dark.

Thanks for the pointer. I will keep everyone posted.
