4th Generation Hawk brake pad fitment for Solara to Camry

I recently got 18 inch wheels and I definitely feel that my OEM brake pads are not sticking very well. I want to upgrade to Hawk HPS pads for both the front and rear. However, I could only find Hawk front pads listed for my 2001 Camry. Hawk has rear pads for the gen1 Solara so I would like to know if they will fit for my Camry. Usually parts from solaras fit my camry but I am not sure about brake pads. It would be nice if the rear pads for the Solara will fit with no modification needed.

Your brakes don't stick as well? What does that mean? How heavy are your 18s? The wheel weight could be an issue if they are heavier than what you had before.

They should fit so long as you do in fact have rear disc breaks and not drums.

Yeah, my new 18s are much heavier than my OEM 15s. Jumping up 3 inches significantly reduced my braking performance. My Camry is a V6 with disc brakes all around.

Wow, if there's two styles of rear calipers then how can I check if the Hawk Solara rear pads will fit? My Camry is a 2001 and I checked on the Hawk website and they listed the rear brake pad for 1999-2003 Solara and also 1998-2000 Camry (w/ rear disc). I don't know why they didn't mention 2001 or 1997 since those two years are included in the 4th generation Camry too. Should I chance it and get the pads anyway?
