3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
all the model designations & years were changed, info was removed .... wtf happened?
over the last few months, there have been hundreds of edits to the article ... the former article (i obviously havent checked recently, but im referring to the article that i referenced last summer) was much more complete and correct!
its as if im looking at the japanese wiki instead of the US wiki ..... the "Scepter" is referenced as a North American car, and there is little info on the 92-96 Gen 3/3.5

that is the only good/bad thing about wikipedia - anyone can go in to edit the info. someone goofed with the info on the town i live in, but luckily that was fixed pretty quickly.
Looks like an interpretation of the Camry from a different country.. notice the gens are different. Find the gen that matches the country and you'll find the originator.
Godspeed ye flatfoots!

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.
--Can honestly go to a parts counter and ask for brake shoes for the front brakes.
--Likes long walks on the beach.... once it's lit by a massive bonfire.
as of 2:05am that day, the transformation began to the current article which is terrible .... there are approx 60 "edits" to undo to get the April 18th version back .... i think i might try it

Tuners have successfully swapped a 2JZ-GTE inline 6 cylinder engine into this generation of Camry.
A more upmarket version of Camry Gracia wagon was sold in Japan as Mark II Qualis. It had no relation to Mark II sedan besides front and rear optics, which simulated those of Mark II X100. Mark II Qualis was also available in 3.0G version, with 1MZ-FE V6 engine, not available in JDM Camrys.
Has that been done? I remember seeing a youtube video on it, but it was burry to say it was done.
At the bottom of the page it says the Camry was the #2 selling car in the U.S. during the 2005 year... I thought it had been #1 since 1997, and 2001 was the only year it had been beat in sales?
