4th Generation leds in camry gen 4.5 gauges

ok so i finally got around to changing the bulbs in my gauges and i read about it that people had tried blue halogen bulbs that sucked and i heard red halogens looked good but someone also said blue leds looked good too, i wanted blue because it would match my neons and my blue stereo lights but what the heck, the blue is nice but not completely satisfied with how they look, the right side is bright and so is where my fuel gauge is but the middle and the left side i cant see a freakin thing at night, anyone else who did this mod have this problem??? thanks ahead of time for responses, i appreciate any input!!!

El Tano has an LED thread and people have said that's a problem when switching to LED's. There are ways to fix it (ie. add more LED's, tin foil, use different bulbs, etc.)

After trying out all kinds of different LEDs and bulbs, I finally found ones that work well.

They are called WLED-WHP6 available from Superbrightleds.com

I get nice even white light. No hot spots, no dim areas.

$4.95 per LED. Not cheap, but I am happy with them.

another option as well, which I did in my jeep is using el cable. It's just a matter of running it so that it gives illumination to all of the gauges.

I had the same problem with my car. You have to get the wide angle ones. Lately I've seen LED panels for sale though and I think those might work well too. Another problem that came up was after a while, my LED's started to flicker. I never figured out a solution though.

This is what my gauges look like now with the WLED-WHP6 LEDs. Note: I left one Polarg Hyperwhite bulb in (by the TEMP GAUGE) so you can see the difference. Needless to say, the Polarg Hyperwhite Superwhite bulbs aren't very white.

^^I like that. I'm going for either a clean white look, or maybe red...Where did you get those WLED-WHP6 LEDs?
