3rd Generation universal ... muffler ..err... fart can ...

I've seen some muffler that calim to be universal (cheap too) on ebay. I wonder have anyone did tried those on camry, and yet if any can recommend me a good - cheap - easy (no drilling) to buy.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyot...em320256759891&

Appreciate all input, i dont need to annoy neighboor with a fart can like ricers or anything, but if they are worth, i would like to get one

Not worth it. You get what you pay for. Leave the fart cans to the civics. Get a Magnaflow FTW.

Wonder if u were talking about those http://search.ebay.com/search/search...flow&category0=

Do they just "bite" into the current exause tip ? Or do i need to take out some thing ? I'm tryin to make it as lowest profile as possible.

Can you recommend me one ?

lol go ahead and get one of those off ebay, my friend got one on his camry and it does sound cool...however we didn't really notice any power gain. Just a bunch of noise

My Opinion is if you want that noise get that but if you want power gain..you have to get a whole system, starting from the headers.

yo dude, i have an ebay straight through muffler on my car, intake, piggyback ecu, iat mod etc etc, and it sounds real sick...if you have the i4, do not get it, if you have the v6, absolutely...my high flow cat is in the mail for the sound past the 3,000 rpm mark..the car sounds meaner then hell below 3k though, above it kinda quiets out (intake takes over for me)...ill get a video soon for ya...

I'm not sure what you mean by "bite" onto the current exhaust tip. Do want to change the whole muffler or just add a tip? If changing the muffler, then you'll need to cut and weld no matter what kind or brand of muffler you buy. Get under your car and take a good look at how your exhaust system is put together. The exhaust gas doesn't even enter the oem muffler from the end of the muffler. It enters from the side.

3rd Generation

The link on my first post showed a small muffler, it looks like it functions as an exaust tip (correct me if i'm wrong) and i'm looking for those type of thing.

The deal is that i dont want to take down anything from my car, not mentioning about changing the whole system. A random exaust tip from Pepboy (just a chrome finish tube with bolt) already cost around as much as a fart can, u guys know what i meant right ? .

Bottom line, i want an easy install fart can, can u guys point out one for me ?

Did you look at the dimentions of that ebay fart can? It's 16.5" long. How would you possibly install that without taking anything off the car's exhaust? There is no direct bolt in fart can. You will have to cut part the exhaust out, and weld on the new muffler. Now if you want a little noise maker you can get a resonator tip. That doesn't require any cutting or welding.

OH GOD!!! Not only does that thing sound REALLY fake, but it also creates an exhaust restriction which reduces performance.

I know it's fake, but the thing is that most people around me have no idea what is real ... ^^

Here's what i found http://youtube.com/watch?v=H0hyqe2Z_Ck

They officially call it turbo whistler. Now i just got to figure out how to cover them with an exaust tip. I think i answered the thread myself ^_^

wow, i think that is one of the worst products ever made for vehicles. nothing like spending money on something that makes noise and decreases performance. does it come with a "type R" badge?
