Help!! (Performance Cams)

Hey
95 Camry I4

Wanting Performace...
Cam Gear
Cam Shafts

Found a few but wait...its not for the 5sfe LOL. This guy with a celica told me to go to webcams send them my old ones and have it regrounded. "It would probly add like 8hp". If anyone knows where or what I can do please share it with all of us on toyota nation!

By the way...would I have to pull the head off the block to slide the shafts out? or is there a way I can from the top. Thanks guys

Please stop making a new thread for every performance part ... all of your questions can be answered if you just use the Search feature within the Gen 3 & 4 section ... this has all been discussed before.

And the 5S-FE is not a performance engine, so there is not a good-sized aftermarket for it.

BTW, its not an LSx engine ... so if you go aggressive with the cams, ive been told you will need a valve job (by 2 ppl who have been through this already).

If you want more power get a camry with a v6. The 5sfe, as Venom stated, is not a performance engine. It was never designed to be a power house, just an economical, durable engine. It's not impossible to get big numbers from it, but the money, and time it would take to do that would be better spent on an engine or car that was designed or at least has REAL potential to put out big power. I have seen a turbo 5sfe(5sfte) powered MR2 putting down 500hp+ at the wheels, but the only thing stock about the drivetrain was the engine block. Hell, even that was bored out.

Bottom line, save your money for a REAL performance car.

webcams is one of the few places to get them made but unless ya upgrade the exhaust, intake, and P&P then it wont be worth the money.
