4th Generation Stereo installation help

Im new to the forum. I have a 97 camry xle. I have two questions

1. I recently put in a alpine deck and the black frame that goes around the stereo and ac and stuff doesnt seem to want to go back on does anyone know anything bout that?

2. I also have sony xlpod 6 x 9 speakers in the back to replace the stock ones and something seems to be rattling a lot when the pump out bass does anyone else have that problem or know anything bout that?

Any help would be awsome thanks.

^ What does the trim piece have to do with his A/C not working?

1. Check to see if you knocked the plug off the HVAC unit. Sometimes when you push the entire deck into the slot you drag a bit of wiring with it. So some might get tugged along like ur HVAC plug.

2. Check the speaker for rips, maybe, just maybe when you installed it you might have teared something around the rim of the speaker. Also make sure all the bolts are secure and the plug behind the speaker is not touching anything.

Also check your deck settings. Sometimes the settings are off.

good luck!

EDIT #2
2. Check the panel that you removed above the rear seats. That thing can rattle from time to time. Also check the grille cover above the speaker. I am not sure if you can remove it or not, but if you can, remove it!

Trim is just cosmetic. If it doesn't make that big of difference, then leave it off

Uh...he never said the AC doesn't work.

There's a plastic rectangular thing that usually comes attached around the face of the stereo. Make sure you remove that.

YOu can go to http://www.imageshack.us and upload photos there. Then take the URL they give you and post it here.

you cant because its isobarically mounted. you had to use the two brackets on the factory radio to install it. so there is no hole for the tabs on your trim ring to fit into. only panasonic and i kenwood i believe can fit the trimring around without using the radios cage.
