98 door on 2001

Does anyone know if a front drivers side door removed from a 1998 will fit on a 2001? Will the door panel and all the guts transfer over from the 2001 to the 98 door so the 98 door can be mounted? Both doors are white. Thank You!

Yes, it will work fine. The doors from 1997-2001 were the same.

The door is that same and should fit no problem, but the door moulding is a different type between '98 and '01.

On the '98, the moulding is attached next to the horizontal channel that runs across the door. On the '01, the moulding attached into that channel and is wider.

If the moulding from the '01 can be reused, then you can use a heat gun to help remove the door moulding and attach to the '98 door (or course, you would need to remove the moulding on the '98 as well).

Thank You for the input on the door. The 01 has a dent in it and looks pretty crappy so I was thinking about putting a 98 door I found in a pick and pull. The problem is that the 98 door was stripped of the glass, everything, so I would have to move everything over. They are both original white so I'm hoping they match pretty close anyway.
