So today i wanted to lock something in my glovebox, inserted the key, and turned it. Following that i heard an ugly snap. I took the key out and now the lock won't budge in either way. try to use wd40, etc to no avail.
any way to pry the glovebox open? i have some things in there i need to take out, along with getting the functionality back.

Try just to stick the piece of key you have in again and turn it, it should open since you are putting half back in. After that just open it and leave it unlocked and go to a junkyard and get another cylinder
bump back to top....i want the glovebox to be functional again
