3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
My lovely friend decided that she couldn't hold in her vomit and puked inside my coupe. She was in the passenger rear seat and most of it got on the carpet and the seat she was sitting in. I tried to clean most of it out with A LOT of paper towels and sprayed half a bottle of auto febreze on it. There is still a lot of chunks and nasty crap left, and it smells HORRIBLE. Anyone have any tips on how to take care of it? graphics pics are to follow..soon
On to the delicious pics(kind of gross)
Oh and I I've only posted 1 shot of my car so here is another for the hell of it:
first try to remove the seat, that will make it easier to work around and get the smell out of the car. ull want to get that smell out ASAP, cuz it will be absorbed into the fabric if ya leave it...just like cigaretts. then id hit with a carpet cleaner like woolite or resolve. then deoderize it and the car...good luck.
somthing to learn out of this...NEVER put a drunk person in the back of a coupe. no window to puke out of.
from personal experience, oxy clean works pretty well.
but yeah, remove the seat, and shampoo the hell outta the car.

will it work effectively on the seat as well. I've seen a whole section of it at a local Krogers but haven't checked the prices. How much is it to rent one? Thanks for the comments guys
HERE it is $20 (base unit I think) + $5 for the attachment you'd need per 24 hours. Then you just need the carpet cleaner with it, which is like $10. But will last for the next few times you rent the machine too.
If you get it, clean the ENTIRE car. You'd be amazed at the dirt you get out since it's beige. Clean the carpets, seats, and if needed, the headliner.

Wow, thats nasty. I would have her clean that s**t. Friend of mine puked in his own truck and never got the smell out totally. Hope you have better luck with your coupe. Glad I have leather.
I've often rented those machines for the carpet in the house, but I have a hard time thinking how you would do your headliner with one of them.

Ugh, that really sucks man, sorry. Hopefully that carpet cleaner will work well, I'd also recommend taking the passenger seat out too and cleaning it separately since it would most likely be easier overall. Then after that throw a bunch of deodorizer on it. Good luck with it.

Detailers handle pukes and baby bombs all the time. Just take it to a detailer.
You can probably guilt your friend into paying for it as well (or at least part of it).
If she won't even pay for part of it, she owes you a hell of a lot of beer.
