RE: K-Sport Kontrol Pros

Quote:
Stock spring rates are 9kg/mm front and 5kg/mm rear. They are linear as we rarely make any that are progressive.

have emailed them a few questions, and got back replies quickly ... figured this one deserved its own thread because its been questioned by those that own the k-sport coils, and those looking into buying some

Grk had all four blow, but he also lowered the car using the spring preload adjustment instead of the coilover's height adjustment IIRC.

i guess they are linear except they suck!!!

yea no wonder they will blow...if he released the springs free of all pre-tension and let the dampers sit lower to drop the car, then the dampers are at 80-90% compressed at all times....that's no good....

^ of course they are linear ... i dont know why you ever thought otherwise, and thats why i told you that you should not spread that sort of lie around the forums

i run mine at 0 preload (not loose, just right at the edge of 0) and make height adjustments with the lower mounting points ... the k-sport manual says to do this unless its not possible, so i hope George didnt use the lower spring seat to adjust ride height

Most of the people who had issues with the K-Sports had incorrectly lowered the car.

Also, who thought the K-Sports had Progressive rate springs? More importantly, why did they think the K-Sports had progressive rate springs?
