most people are gonna say go for the DEPO headlights .... which is fine, but IMO i would get neither and this is why:

if you want clear lenses and you have a gen3.5 (which i thought you did), you should get the custom lenses from greg cheban ... that way you dont have to swap anything

and if you want a cleared grille, you should use the DIY tips in the forums because i know i could probably make another one that looks better than mine, and almost as good as the ebay one

yep. I'd buy the depos and clear out the grille yourself. You'll have more fun and save money

He had it with a 3.5 grill at first, which left holes where the inside corners of the 3.5 headlights were. He later switched to a Gen 3 grill and shaved the bottom of the grill off so he wouldn't have to shave the bumper. Last I recall he didn't have a perfect fit, but it looked really good and he was going to work on the fitment some more. Don't recall seeing any more pics after that.

Here is my thread from when I did this:

Gen 3.5 Black DEPO Gen3 Install.(PICS)

and here is the thread when i put on the GEN 3 grille:

Gen 3 Grille on Gen 3.5 without shaving the bumper (PICS)

I still havent messed with it since i put it on, ive just been lazy honestly. I will get around to it soon and ill take pics of what and where i cut, but I hope this helps you with your project.

EDIT

apparently i cant read, because you said you have a gen 3 ... in which case i would say you should do the following:

+ Get the DEPOs from eBay
+ DIY: clear your grille

Those pictures of what and where to cut would be life-savers for owners of 3.5 trying to get some black depos. Your set up looks really nice.
