Lost alarm/remote unlock device

Hi, the guy I bought my 97 Camry LE from lost the remote clicker and Toyota wants $143 for a new one. I bought what I thought was the right device on eBay, went through one of the programming procedures I found here, but no luck.

Does anyone know what the correct device is and how to program it? Before you flame me, I did search the forum, I did try some of the programming procedures (I found several), and still I can't get this working.

I guess the two questions are:
1) Which is the appropriate device (FCC#)
2) What is the correct programming procedure?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

before you find out which device number you need to get for the remote, it would really be important to know the model number of the alarm.
