Upholstery stains in back seat

OK guys, quit snickering. It's not what you think, really.

Early this week I left a magazine in the back seat of my '94 Camry. It was a hot day, so I left the windows cracked open. Well, an afternoon storm blew through and ran came through the open windows and some rain hit the magazine and splattered around. So around the magazine were little brown specks from the magazine ink (I assume that it is soy ink, these days). I tried shampooing with Blue Coral upholstery cleaner and it just seems to be moving the stain around without pulling it up. It fades when I use the shampoo but when it dires the stain comes back. Am I going to be able to get this stain out? Should I look for another seat in the junkyard? Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe Simple Green, or good old fashioned dish soap with some warm water?

I rented a Rug Doctor steamer with the upholstery attachment and upholstery cleaner and did my entire interior. The front seats were N A S T Y! After 3 days and 6 tanks of water extraction, on the third day they finally looked clean, and the water that was being pulled out was clean.
After the first and second days when the seat was drying, it looked clean but the next morning the stains were still present, like they came back. But after that third day of cleaning, the next day they looked as clean as the day they came off the line, with no re-appearing stains. Before I did this, I tried 4 or 5 auto upholstery cleaners with no luck, they just seemed to make it worse.

Remember that the base of the back seat is easy to remove, just pull up on the front to unclip two clips and it's out. This will let you put it on your driveway to get medievel on it (I have a '95 LE).

For that matter, you *may* be able to remove the upholstery and toss it into your washer, but I'm not sure on this one. It's just upholstery over a foam core with some metal bars to hold it's shape.

Speaking of stains... in my '99 Honda Accord one of my kids left a yellow crayon on the front seat - it melted into seat. Any suggestions on getting it off of the seat? The seat color is light tan so this stain really stands out.
