Canada Intermittent acceleration problem

Hi, I bought a 92 Camry V6 Le Sport about a week ago and everything seemed to work great except for the fact that the radiator was leaking (which I replaced by the time). But now I noticed a problem that is fairly irritating. Whenever I accelerate with a good amount of pressure on the gas pedal, it's like the engine revs up, stop, restarts, stops, restarts, until it goes fast enough to change gear. I thought at first that it only did this on 1st gear, but now I noticed today that it did it when I accelerated on the expressway. When I floor the pedal, sometimes, only sometimes will it accelerate normally, without losing any power. It happens using the power or standard configuration. I also tried disabling/activating the overdrive. It didn't change a thing. This problem is not happening when I am in neutral gear or on park. Any idea what it might be ?

My guess would be that the spark plugs are fouled.
