Wheel Bearing stress/failure

I would like to put some spacers on my auto. I have OEM Solara rims on my car, but would like the track to be a little wider. My concern is wheel bearing stress. Has anyone had bearing problems running wider wheels or spacers?

nope...never heard of any failures due specifically to wider wheels or spacers


the bearings seem to be fairly well designed on the camry and many of us have pretty high mileage (both as modified and unmodified) with no wheel bearing problems

No problems with 5mm on the rears of the Coupes, bearing wise....I do have an intermitten fender rub with 215/50 tires on 17" 40 offset rims tho.
