How do i check the motor mounts?

Well my new car has 2 problems, a slight problem starting up and a more important problem. When i shift into reverse the car jerks. But it only jerks when shifting into reverse, if i shift into park or drive no problems. So I've googled it and it looks like my motor mounts or transmission mounts might be shot. Also the tranny fluid checks out, its reddish.

So how many motors/ transmission mounts do the 1mz-fe engine have and what do they look?
Also how do i checked them to make sure they still work?

Not positive but I think there are two mounts and a torque link and then a small "shock" on the front. To test for worn out motor mounts, you need two people.....have a friend hold the brake and put the car in drive and give it a little bit of throttle, you will see the motor "torque up". Observe the motor mounts while this is happening (may want to use a very trustworthy friend so they don't run you over)

You will be able to observe an unusual amount of movement.....replace mounts as necessary.
