crank shaft, oil pump, oil pan...

you need to track down what is actually leaking instead of just taking guesses. you will save time and money this way.

here is the list to check, or maybe replace

cam shaft seal
crank shaft seal (front seal)
oil pump seal
valve cover gasket
oil pan (gasket = silicone)
oil pump housing o-ring

most of the parts above is around $10 each, but just labor intensive.

i've seen tranny oil pan leaking, axle seal leaking and the worst nightmare, rear main seal leaking.

well it smokes enough to see it come out from the engine bay.
theres a tiny tiny leak in the back of the valve cover gasket. would that create such a smoke?
how would i track the leak myself?

any bit of hot oil, small or large, touching the hot surface of the engine will smoke.

degrease the engine to remove all of the old oil caked to the outside. then run the motor and see where the the fresh oil is leaking. you can also buy a dye, pour it into the motor and use a UV light to see where the dye is showing up.
