Update - Lots of pics

Here's a bit of an update on what I've been doing lately. Installed my new Clarion MAX685BT (Double-Din DVD w/bluetooth, Ipod interface, etc...tons of options). Bypassed it so I can play video for my boy in the back while driving. Just got a new Ipod touch as well so it goes perfect with that, just waiting on the video cable in the mail...for now only can play audio.

On my way to work I ran over a rock that took out two of my Bridgstone Potenza RE92's, so I got a set of used Falken Ziex ZE512 for $200...I like them much better.

Also, my Tokico HP's came in the mail a while ago...just trying to find some time to put them on...I only get Sun. off and just can't seem to find the time, plus I want to use my new compressor and air tools, but I have to bring it to my buddy's place to do it...my landlord would get mad with all the noise...he doesn't seem to like me working on the cars in the first place.

Oh and for the oldschool fans, I included a few updated pics of my TE31 Rolla. Been working on that for the past 4 nights in a row all night. Ripping off all the emissions crap, EGR, Smog pump, etc... and plugging everything up including the old vacuum system in preparation for my Weber 32/36 carb that I added as well. Also installed new starter, fixed up exhaist leaks, etc misc things. Engine needs a good wash though...kinda dissappionted in the 32/36...might just have to rob the 38/38 off the RA22 Celi.

The pics aren't the best, just got a new 8.2 MP camera and don't really know how to use all the features. But anyways, here they are...

Thanks! No I didn't have it repainted. The previous owner did that a couple years ago in his shop. It's one of those "looks good from far, but far from good" jobs

HOLY SHIT you blew two of those tires at the same time?

I'm sure the ZIEX are much better. The RE92 weren't that great of tires, especially in wet weather. When you warmed them up they were great though.

BTW what did you do with the missing lug?

lol...yeah, well one blew, but the other just bubbled out on the side, but could go at any time. It was a big rock, almost a boulder, but a small one. I was tired, driving to work in the morning and just didn't see it. Ran over it with the front tire and bam, then it got flung straight to the back and almost instantly after...bam, it got the rear too. No time to even react after the front. I just consider myself lucky that it was just tires that would need to be changed soon anyways instead of the wheels I just bought.

And for the missing lug, I just put one of the old ones on. I've been meaning to get wheel locks, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Oh I see. Bad luck. At least it didn't turn into something even bigger. And I don't think the rims will bend. I know friends that drive IS 300's, and they smoke curbs REALLY hard and the rims are fine, not bent or whatever. I think its probably due to the heavy construction of the rim, the IS rims are really not light weights.

Oh... buy locks soon, don't risk it.
