My 2000 Camry is still has the original Panasonic battery that was installed at the factory. I think most people would recommend an Optima battery. That's what my Jeep buddies use and they run their winch with it.

PepBoys mid-line still going strong for the last six years. Unless Optima is willing to give a much longer warranty, I cant see that it is worth spending 3x as much. BTW, shop for maximum amp-hours or reserve capacity, not cranking amps.
went with an optima red top. best battery ive bought so far.
i just got my alarm installed, so that combined with the neon and the sound system put too big of a load on the battery and thats why i needed a new one.
plus mine was pretty much dead and was killing the starter.
Yeah, I just ditched my Optima red top. It was poop. I lasted less than 2 years. I am not impressed...maybe that's why a fair amount of people upgrade to the yellow top. I bought a $50 battery at the BX...we'll see how long this one lasts.
