My CEL came on after I pumped gas and I'll probably go to Autozone or somewhere to borrow a scanner. Two questions though: Do I connect the scan tool to the place under the steering wheel? Where are the list of codes so I can see what the problem is? The Diagnostics part in the manuals off Camrystuff.com is 900 pages long! Thanks for any help

There's a com port behind the coin box. That's where you connect the diagnostic tool.

depends on what year car you have. mines under the steering wheel. and check out http://www.obd-codes.com/ to see what the codes mean.

Guess I'm missing what year the car it is. Before '96 it's probably OBD I, which requires a procedure to get the codes to blink. But if it came on after fueling you may have not gotten the cap tight enough. This is pretty common. Tighten the cap and/or replace the gasket and the light may go out on it's own after a few driving cycles. I'm not sure of that, I reset mine.
