3rd Generation Might be able to get 96 Camry

Hey guys. I got an offer today for a 96 Camry for $800. I guess it drips oil and the owner claims its 'on it's last leg'. I guess its white. I've seen it once in person but I didnt pay attention to it. I'm hoping to go check it out tomorrow.

So as far as the leak goes... its a 5sfe right? I could probably fix whatever's wrong with it, but im going to be getting a studio next month so thats gonna take most of my money. I can get another 5sfe for it from LA for a couple hundred bucks with a warranty and get all the tools and equipment from my dad.

I guess i'm just worried that if I shell out $800 into it (thats gonna be tough to get too) that i'll have to drop in a new engine and it'll get stuck sitting there in my soon-to-be driveway with my Supra, both needing engines.

Does anyone know of any problems that could be? I'm guessing oil pan gasket (or that goo that Toyota uses. I'm blanking on the name...). Say it was... how hard is that to replace... or would I be better off getting a new engine?

I feel like i'm stumbling on my own words o i'll just wait til tomorrow to take pictures and check it out, get mileage, etc.

Well scratch that idea. Instead of getting a Camry that might need to have a new engine put in VS an offer I got today.

87 Audi 4000 Quattro. Re-valved Bilstein's set up for Rally (suspension came off their retired rally car), rally brake set up, some sweet ass Kumho's and lightweight rims. Its white with a 5-cyl engine, lockable diff's, and handles pretty freaking sweet. and only $1000.

I just figured i'd have more fun in a Quattro that in a Camry. I'll post pics of it when I get it in about a month.
