Unhappy Windshield Help! (pics)

Well, I was cleaning my car today and I noticed that the seal on the windshield was pulling up in this one spot. So I was wondering if this is a major problem and should be fixed quickly. I don't think its causing any problems so I'm not sure on what to do.

Thanks for any help.

I doubt it should be a concern. The true "Seal" is the tar-like stuff they put on the edges before putting the glass in. All the trim does that you are showing is cover up 'imperfections' in gap.

I just had the windshield replaced in the I4 a few months back and was wondering the same things.

Keep checking, i'm sure i'll find a bunch of "imperfect spot", (if u haven't found them already).

Just do the major thing, keep ur mind off the minor spot and over the time, u wont even remember ... ^^

Nothing to be concerned about.

That upper trim strip is held in place with five plastic "butterfly clips". Odds are that one clip (maybe more
than one) has broken.

The catch is, it's not easy to replace that because the clips were originally seated in very soft fresh window
sealant immediately after the window was installed. After years and years, the sealant is very well set and
quite hard, relatively speaking. The new clips (if you replaced them) would not seat deeply into the
sealant like the old ones did, for that reason. So the trim strip won't go all the way down into place and
stay down.

Been there, done that, got a little frustrated. The clips are SLOWLY seating themselves fully, but only
because the car is black and the hot Florida sun is heating it up enough to soften the window sealant
enough for the clips to slowly dig in like they should.
