3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Finally decided to do this today. Ran it through the brake-booster, used DeepCreep on the throttle body/IAC hole, cleaned that out, put a bit in my gas tank.. and...

Thanks to anyone who ever posted up anything about SeaFoam on here. The threads were most helpful. Have a happy 4'th!
Yes, I forced my little brother to go along to assist me, and behold the might clouds of smoke, and also for some 'spirited' laps up and down this one stretch of road near me.
Haha dang...your cars obviously newer than mine, but you definitely got more smoke. I tried to get videos of mine smoking up the neighborhood, but my brother just couldn't work my camera. Oh well, good times.
Have you noticed any differences with the car after Seafoaming?

I haven't driven it too much since. I cleaned out the throttle body again with Deep Creep after the first drive-off. Was shocked to see how much smoke billowed forth, as I had done this a few months ago, maybe more my concepts of time are usually off.
A neighbor a few houses down was apparently hosting some cook out(used the closest church parking lot i could find this morning, imagine! someone cooking out on the Fourth!) , so I felt kind of bad but really didn't expect much smoke, he had some choice words for me. I told him to think of it as one massive smoke bomb for the 4'th, gave him a cold Budweiser and all was well.
Sunday I'll be putting around 200 miles on it, so I'll be on the look out for differences. On my spirited run's as it seemed to be a bit more lively than usual, but I couldn't tell if that was just mental or what.
Hopefully tomorrow, I'll get the oil changed, and maybe throw some new spark plugs in. Also today, I took off my exhaust manifolds, and front plastic grill, washed them, wetsanded them a bit, and spray painted them flat black. Painting the grill is a totally temp. mod, as it's broken a bit from when I tapped a lady in traffic, but was looking faded anyway, and I didn't like the chrome on the front end, so now it looks at least a bit cleaner up front.
Seafoam through brakebooster--lot of smoke, noticed no difference in driving.
Deep Creeping the throttle body--definitely noticed difference, car=more lively.
Seafoam through crankcase--no performance increase, vibration at idle seemed to dampen a bit.
Seafoam through gas--for whatever reason, haven't tried it yet.
So eh, maybe you'll notice a difference from the throttlebody. The whole bit about the guy and the Budweiser was pretty funny though. They should make that a commercial.

I'm sure most of the improvement will be some form of mental perception, but I would have to reason that at some point, all the bs coming out is better for the engine out than in.
