3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
A friend of mine is selling his 95 camry not sure what to sell it for it has 89,000 miles is 4cyl auto and green it's a clean car. If you seen my black depo pics it's his rx-7 in the backround, but he also has a new infiniti so he wants to let this one go. What do you think is a fair price? I'll try and pics up soon.

i got offered $4000 for my 95 LE when it had ~138k miles and stock everything except stereo headunit (intermittent A/C problem)
Most clean 95-96 with less than 150,000 mile are going for around $4,500 here in NC, a beater with 200,00 going for around $3,000. I rairly see them on lots anymore and most are listed by private sellers. After all this time, people still know that they are a hell of a good car.
Mine was pristine untill some Ahole let a buggy at Lowes' roll into it and dented the leading edge of my hood. This is the only dent in my car. I am taking it the body shop in town that specializes in expensive cars. Nothing is to good for my baby! Sorry for getting off topic.

Makes me feel good that I only paid 2800 and 3000 for my 2 95 Camry LE's.
1 original owner w/154k with EVERY maintenance record bought from the owner and the other w/93k original owner with all records bought from the Toyota dealer. Both were garaged women driven creampuffs.
Since I bought them 3 months ago I have seen them starting to creep up in value. Most dealers are asking crazy money for cars w/less than 90k.......neighborhood of 6500-7500....that's stupid pricing!

Thanks for the tip! I did not want to have the hood painted because I bet it would be hard to match after all these years.

I got mine privately through a friend and I paid $1500 + (< 100) taxes. Its a 5spd, pw, pl, pm, psunroof, A/C, alloy rims etc... I then dumped $500 to fix it. That includes, timing belt, water pump, 2 cv shafts (aftermarket)
Is that a decent price or did I get ripped off?

Sounds like a respectable deal to me! ~$2k for a nice car and a rarish 5-speed.
I paid $4,900 for my Camry 6 years ago. (120k miles) I wouldn't sell mine today for less than $3,500 (175k miles).
To the OP, with those low miles, I'd adverise at $4,100, and let it sell for $4k.

I'm the biggest boss thatchu seen thus far! Baby, that's muh wi'zzard!
Got my '92 for $1200, and that's dealers' cost. Got it through someone I used to work with. It listed well over $3k. Only real problem is a rust spot on one door, in which I already have a door to replace it with. Just have to find the time to do the swap, so $1500 I'd say you got a good price on it. I've only had to fix a few small things that bothered me, and put in my depos as the stock housings plain sucked. Couldn't see sh$t at night when driving.
