Injen short ram '97 camry questions

so i've got this '97 camry v6 and its got around 130,000 on it. its not the prettiest car since i inheritted it and the previous owner didnt enjoy washing or cleaning any part of it.
anyhow, i'm considering installing an Injen short ram air intake on it and iv heard some rumors that you can damage your engine with these. i understand there is a huge controversy over loss of torque, which i really dk about. I just want to know about real possible things that could affect my car negatively (other than the whole torque issue. w/e on that one.).

Thanks

Do it! Just change out the air cone when you change oil. Enjoy!

if any torque loss its not noticeable. sri there is really no big danger, you dont risk the hydrolocking of a cai but you still get the great sound. i did it for mine and i highly recommend it

1. there is no danger with using the SRI...at all. you may be thinking about hydro lock which can happen with a CAI if driven through deep water.

2. you wont notice much in the way of power gain or loss.

3. enjoy and welcome to TN

I have the Injen SRI. I'm glad I got it since it's CARB legal. California is strict on emissions and modified vehicles in general so if a cop pulls you over, you can just show him your CARB sticker and documents.
