super charging 2.4 camry

i was able to find a 2.4L engine out of a new camry at the junkyard
and i saw the corolla has the same 2.4L and this camry.

so my questions is can you put the supercharger for the 2.4 corolla on the 2.4 camry????

why would this even be in this section? the 4th gen, and the 3rd gen camry never even had a 2.4 option.

please don't tell me you're considering swapping in the 2az into your 4th gen....

yes its possible...the TRD charger for the scion tC (not the corolla - that kit is a prototype) will fit the camry 2.4, since they share the same 2az-fe engine....this engine appears in the rav 4, camry, corolla, tC, Xb and highlander, and its pretty much the same engine save for the change in engine bays between the vehicles
the tC supercharger will fir, but youd need to wire in a tC ecu and fabricate some mounts for the charger since its ina larger camry engine bay....and all that is just to make it fit a gen 5....youd be a fool to swap a 2az in your gen 4.....just buy a v6 camry or go turbo on your 5s-fe/go 3sgte and be done with it....

or just don't bother with modding a weak base engine as the 5s and move on.

you'll have to do your own research......you'll just get helpless replys. since no one here has done that swap. as for the s/c fitting sure it will. you're really going to have someone do that for you? thats gonna cost grandma a grip!lol.

get it done and show us. I'd be jealouse!( is that spelled right? it looks funny.)

You cant just swap in a 2az into your car. It will need the a new ecu, motor mounts, wiring, ect. not to mention a ton of custom work, oh and prob. a brand new transmission.
You'll be better off finding a 5s-fe or a 1mz-fe (whichever your car has) and replacing it.

you know what, i'm all for it

i think it'll fit because when i thought about it, gen 5 camrys had 1MZ and 2AZ as the engine options
gen 4 had 1MZ and 5S as engine options

they both had 1MZ as engine options and if 5S and 1MZ are swapable, sure should 5S and 2AZ be swapable.

also, 2AZ is gonna give you a lot better gas mileage than a v6. If your supercharging it, it just might be bang for the buck for the long run. Also, it is said that the 2AZ can handle 300hp with stock internals if it is set up properly...now that is really not bad at all. kicks 1MZ's ass anyday.

^uhh you could go turbo on a 1mz and have the ability to push way more than a 4 cylinder supercharger can give you

haha i doubt the supercharger will get too much better either!! but i dont have any real numbers on them. either way getting the newer engine to work in a different car, even though it is another camry will most likely be difficult and extremely costly... a turbo 1mz is much more feasible
