high gas tank pressure

my gas tank has abnormally high pressure. How can i check if the cable/tube or value that is supposed to relieve the pressure is working? Actually more specifically what relieves the pressure? Its the 95 btw that has this problem.

how do you know it has abnormally high pressure? there should be a suction noise when you open up the gas cap if that is what sparked your concern.

the vent line runs next to the filler neck up next to where you fill the tank.

*edit* i know in some cars, the vent line connects right before the gas cap so its actually the gas cap that relieves some of the pressure. my buddy has his gas tank implode because the cap didnt relieve the pressure like it should have.

That's true. Check/replace your gas cap. It's only like $10 or so. Mine used to seem like the pressure was too high, and after replacing the cap it seemed normal again.

mine seem like it dont have enough pressure.. hahaha

Every car i have ever filled up has made a slight suction noise. This car makes that same noise but for a LOT longer time.
