3rd Generation strut bar for Gen 3...any good?

thx all you guys for the input so far . now i'm thinking of stiffing up the body and make the handling a little bit better.

i already have Eibach lower spring on. thinking about front strut bar now. did anybody notice any/lots of difference before/after installation?

as well as rear sway bar. i'm thinking about getting one from Whiteline but looks like strut bar is quite a bit cheaper mayb i should go for that first?

suggessions again guys?! thanks!!

RSB is far more effective. Strut bar doesn't do a whole lot.

I have a whiteline strut tower bar, and it helps a little. I don't have as much chassis flex as I did before. I also have a whiteline RSB, and that did improve the handling alot. Most here on TN would say get a TRD RSB because it can be set for track or street. The Whiteline is right in the middle of the TRD's settings. It was just easier for me to get the Whitline RSB instead of the TRD. I got it from ebay for $140 USD. The Whiteline performs well enough for me.

Here's a Whiteline RSB for $140USD on ebay right now...

RSB has a far more noticeable difference when compared to a strut bar. but they are both useful. the strut bar is just way cheaper.

As far as front strut tower bars go, I've heard good things about the Freedom Design one here:
http://www.freedomdesign.com/Merchan...e=strutbraces4

But as most people here will tell you, the RSB is often said to be the best bang for your buck suspension mod for our Camry's. The popular majority here buy either Whiteline or TRD.

another vote for the RSB. personally, i don't think you'll notice much of an upgrade with a tower strut brace.

if anything, they just make the engine bay look a little bit nicer.

I have an SPW strut bar and a TRD RSB, and I feel that the strut bar does help a little, but the RSB helps alot more. My advice would be to focus on the RSB, and if you find a cheap (i.e. $40) strut bar that you like go ahead and get that too.

another vote for RSB here too.

for the front strut bar becareful of the ones on ebay. the description said it'll fit the I4 and V6 but when i put it on, it didnt fit too well. I have a V6 and the bar touches the intake manifold.

thx guys for all the input!

i wasnt able to find a TRD RSB so i contact a local whiteline dealer last wk and i just got the bar ship in today.

installed it. OH MY! i luv the handling!!
tho not the best out there but hey! u can truely notice the difference!

now totally makes me want to try out the TRD w/ track setting! hahaha (if i be able to get one in the future which i doubt it.) mayb it's better off for me to get coil over as next step

3rd Generation

For the Gen 3/3.5/4 guys that went with a Whiteline RSB, did you go with BTR36 18mm? Or did you go for larger RSB 20mm? Part number?

KenKen325, is the BTR36 worth getting? 20mm might be a little more for racing, so 18mm is fine I think. Do you notice a positive difference on the curves? Where and how much did you get your BTR36 RSB for? Thx!

hmm well depending where they are i know we have some great members in the upper parts of the states. i bet some of them would be willing to have it shipped to them and having them pick it up from there or maybe arrange a cross border shipping even
