brakes and rotors

Well, seems I have a bit of a warp to one of my front rotors. Been seeing some rotor/brake packages on eBay which is local for me. Anyone ever used from ebay before? problems with them? work well? etc etc

Just get plain face rotors. Those may get warped and cracked more easily than regular ones.

And who came up with the idea of painting rotors?

Hey!

I just finished reading your other thread. I hope you got the wiring sorted out, we dont want a fire in your camry.

Dont cheap on the breaks, i'm waiting for my brakes to wear a bit more before replacing them with Brembo blanks + Hawk HPS pads.

I've heard great things about that setup. I'm going to do all four.

Have Fun

brakes arent something you should try to pinch pennies on ... no-name brands will either leave you in a ditch somewhere, or cause you to have to buy new hardware in a few miles

with that being said, you also dont have to go out and by the best drilled/slotted Brembo rotors you can find - simple blanks are probably your best option, and an OEM replacement would do you just fine unless youre taking your car out on a track

I wouldn't buy rotors from eBay. I think a lot of eBay products are low quality. I would also get plain rotors versus drilled ones. At your local store you can get good brand name rotors for half the price of those eBay ones.

Was checking advanced auto out online. Damn the prices are better than what I'm finding around here. Might just have to get them there next time I go to Buffalo. Thanks for the input. Appreciate it. Just limited funds unfortunately right now. Damn insurance doubled because of my freak accident in dec. GRRR!

Me either! Could have been a hell of a lot worse. Think it was either a bad fuse that overheated, or a combination of it and the relay. only thing that makes sense. Going to rewire on the weekend if I have time, and make my own wiring harness as I've done in the past. Never an issue with the ones I made.

Brakes will have to be done in the near future. Trying to gather up as much info as I can on prices, types etc. How hard is it to change brakes out on a camry?
