Door locking issues@!!!

Well I just bought a 97 Camry LE. I picked it up today and just realized that i can't lock all the doors when im outside of the car.

Here is exactly what happens. When all the doors are unlocked, and the keys are out of the ignition, I can't use the power lock on the driver's side to lock all the doors. When the keys are in the ignition, I can lock them using the power door/all lock button but then they all reopen again.

When Im outside the car with all the doors unlocked, the key will only lock the driver's side door and all the other doors will stay unlocked no matter how I turn the key or how many times I turn, etc. There is no keyless (at least I didn't get the fob). I am not 100% sure if the key I have is the "master" key or not since one will only work for the ignition and the other will only work for the lock/trunk.

Really frustrating...

Usually the passenger side will lock/unlock all of them too.

Try that, if that does not work you need to take it to a dealership!

Or ask one of the experts on here! : -P

Sorry for the late reply, but check if your dome light and/or clock are working. They are on the same circuit as the power lock system. I had the same problem on a 98 Camry and it turned out it was just a blown fuse.
Hope this helps...
