As you can see here, I actually took the rubber insert from the stock suspension and used it in the same place between the bottom of the spring and the bottom strut mount. I'm thinking that the sound is from the spring rubbing against the rubber in the bottom mount, and as a result, the spring is moving around in there, which sounds pretty bad, heh. What do I do? Do I take the rubber bushing out?

so it will cost me around $360 just for the parts if i want to lower my 2000 camry I4? i want to do it but i'm not sure whether it's worth it or not..
Heh, well if you really want to go through with it, and once you start shopping around, you'll realize that that price really isn't that bad at all. Especially in terms of the springs; I got really lucky on those, as they normally retail for $200+
I was going through the same thing as you a year ago when I first got the rims, and as you can see i put off the suspension upgrade till now, heh. When it comes down to it, if you've got the money, you might as well do it.

Wow, whats the seller name that you bought the tokico from? I always see them over 320-350 shipped.
I actually got really lucky with the struts too, eBay gave me a 10% off coupon which i used for the struts, dropping the $300 + $20 shipping to $270 + $20 shipping. The springs were just straight up $50 with $20 shipping, haha

ya buddy modding cars isnt cheap ... but if you know anyone thats gonna change their springs/struts soon its worth looking on. i did and its really not hard at all ... just need a compressor and ... strong arms since our cars are old. i heard labor for this particular job is pretty expensive.

no kidding. a can of pb blaster and some beefy breaker bars is a must have.
yo! we have identical looking cars, except i'm jealous of your V6, and the good deal on your setup.
my suspension is running around $2000, but then it's a bit hardcore ;-)
awesome stuff. gj!
Haha, dont worry, I'm running an I4 just like you. Its just that the springs were actually made for a Gen4 V6, which is a bit of explanation for the slightly higher front.

Man, dude, you know I've always wanted to go to a meet... I guess I just need to check the Events section more often. Or someone needs to PM me or something, hahaha.
